1. Why does the health circle collect, process, and use your data?

We would like to support you in supplementing conventional forms of treatment to approach your therapeutic training optimally at home and to help you complete your program as much as possible. This also means that we use our product with anonymized data for the success of the treatment.

The processing of your data by health circle serves these purposes only.


2. How does The Health Circle handle your data?

The Health Circle Company, a Tennessee corporation (THC) located at 236 E. 5th Street, Suite 206, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37403, is behind the The Health Circle app. The Health Circle collects and processes your personal data in connection with the Health Circle (“App”) and the website (“Website”). We are “responsible” within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

We only process your data insofar as this is necessary to provide the Health Circle services you have requested, you have consented to the processing or we are otherwise authorized to do so on the basis of data protection laws. We will obtain your consent separately for the processing of your health data. You can consent to the processing of this data, e.g. by activating the consent slider. 3. What data do we collect?

Personal data are specially protected by law. Such data is understood to be information that relates to an identified or identifiable person.

Apart from your IP address, we do not collect any data that allow direct assignment to your person. Nevertheless, strictly confidential handling of all your data is very important to us. Therefore, we treat all data according to the rules that also apply to personal data.

In order to ensure optimal treatment success, we pass on your data to your personal physiotherapist, who gave you access.

Your video data will only be saved on your smartphone. All other data is stored on the platform. These are the following elements: Name, training plan, name of the therapist, email of the therapist, telephone number of the therapist

10. What third party tools do we use?

Google Analytics

The Health Circle app uses Google Analytics, an analysis service provided by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheater Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Use includes the "Universal Analytics" operating mode. This makes it possible to assign data, sessions and interactions across multiple devices to a pseudonymous user ID and thus to analyze the activities of a user across devices.

Google Analytics uses so-called "cookies", text files that are stored on your device and that enable your use of the Health Circle app to be analyzed. The information generated by the cookie about your usage is usually transferred to a Google server in the Germany and stored there. If IP anonymization is activated on the website, your IP address will be shortened beforehand by Google in member states of the European Union and contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address will only be sent to a Google server in the Germany and shortened there in exceptional cases. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. Google uses this data on behalf of Health Circle to evaluate your use of the Health Circle app and the Internet for Health Circle. Health Circle uses the evaluations with the aim of improving the Health Circle user experience. Our legitimate interest in data processing also lies in this purpose.

The legal basis for the use of Google Analytics is Section 15 Paragraph 3 TMG or Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit. f GDPR (“Legitimate Interests”). We assume a legitimate interest, as we can significantly improve the app and website for all users based on the findings from the data from Google Analytics.

You can object to data processing at any time by proceeding as described in section 10 of this data protection declaration and deleting your data. The legality of the data processing operations that have already taken place remains unaffected by the objection.

The data sent by us and linked to cookies, user IDs (e.g. user ID) or advertising IDs will be deleted after 14 months. The deletion of data whose retention period has expired takes place automatically once a month.

In order to prevent the collection by Universal Analytics across different devices, you have to carry out the opt-out on all systems used.



Data storage and processing takes place on servers in Germany. The provisions of the German Data Protection Act apply.

In our apps we use technology from Google Firebase (Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheater Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, “Google”) with various functionalities. Firebase Analytics enables the analysis of the use of our offer. In this way, completely anonymous information about the use of our app is recorded and transmitted to Google and stored there. Google uses the device's advertising ID for this. Google will use the information mentioned to evaluate the use of our app and to provide us with other services related to the use of apps. You can restrict the use of the advertising ID in the device settings (iOS: Data protection / Advertising / No ad tracking; Android: Account / Google / Ads). Google Analytics for Firebase (Google Inc.). We also use Firebase Remote Config, which enables us to perform A / B tests and adjust the behavior and appearance of the app without having to download a new version. Personal data is not stored. These Crashlytics and App Distribution Data Processing and Security Terms, including their appendices, (the "Terms") are incorporated into the Agreement. These Terms will be effective and replace any previously applicable data processing and security terms as from the Terms Effective Date (as defined below).


11. What other rights do you have as a user?


As a Health Circle user you have the following options and rights.

Correction, deletion or restriction of processing

You have the right to request the correction, deletion or restriction of the processing of your personal data. In this case it is necessary to delete your data. You do this by clicking on the “Settings” page - Privacy - Delete all videos in the Health Circle app. This will irrevocably delete all of your videos.
